Tommy (he/him)
Tommy is Marielle’s son and has been a keen potter since early 2021. He loves making sculptural pieces as well as exploring different decorating techniques on functional ware. Tommy has a passion for space and dinosaurs and loves to create work on these themes, and he choose the name “Moons of Neptune”! He also loves to work on photoshop and explore creating dynamic images that can be used for printmaking.
Tommy co-founded this Collective with his Mum to meet other potters and artists. And to be able to show people his work online, to get support taking his art to the next level and to start a small business selling some of his work.

Katie (she/her)
Katie Atkinson is a ceramicist based in Nillumbik, whose work explores the subtle and powerful connections between human experience and the natural world. Working primarily with porcelain, she creates abstract pieces that play with light and form. Katie has exhibited locally a number of times.

Mackenzie (she/her)
Mackenzie is a passionate disability support worker and loves both creating art and supporting others in their artistic pursuits.

Jessie Pittard (she/her)
member and teacher
Jessie Pittard is an Eltham based artist, printmaker and ceramicist. She is an accomplished wheel thrower and hand builder and also runs workshops on advanced decorating techniques. Jessie also runs ‘My Backyard Adventures’ where she creates and designs whimsical, fun and functional products for the young and young at heart. Jessie is a foundational member of our collective and has worked with Marielle and Tommy since late 2024.

Alyssa Potter (she/her)
member and teacher
Alyssa is the owner of Clae Space and a passionate ceramicist primarily focusing on hand building, carving, some wheel throwing and keeping the creative expression and flow non-judgmental. She has also spent her life creating in various forms - from crochet, macrame, painting, sewing, and baking. Alyssa is passionate about making clay accessible to everyone. She has lived experience with mental health and neurodivergency and works from a neuro-affirming perspective. Alyssa is partnering with Marielle to run the ‘All Abilities’ classes on Saturdays and is welcoming the Moons of Neptune Ceramic Collective into Clae Space at every level.

India (she/her)
India has been a passionate potter for several years and loves to create sculptural pieces for both the garden and home. India is a talented painter and decorates her work with amazing detail and colours. India enjoys making new friends and community connections and thrives interacting with people at markets and she is excited to work towards meeting some of her financial goals.

Jack Latti (he/him)
member and teacher
Jack Latti specialises in making wood fired ceramics with signature large sculptural pots. He also sells an impressive range of tableware and custom pots for succulents. Jack has gathered a strong community of fellow wood firers to share in the work and rewards of his hand built Anagama kiln. Jack runs a selection of raku, pit firing and wood firing workshops and also teaches wheel throwing and hand building at his studio in Research and The Kiln Room in Keysborough.

Marielle (she/her)
member and teacher
Marielle from Tidal Expressions co-founded this collective with her son to form a diverse and inclusive artistic community. Marielle draws energy and inspiration from the cycles of nature and the nuances of the human psyche. She creates mainly abstract sculptural ceramic pieces with the intent that they can be regenerated and transformed into installations by combinations with mixed media. Lily Lindsay (she/her)
member and teacher
Lily has her own practice called Blaze Ceramics which are handmade ritual pieces, born out of exploration of the beauty in the natural world. The magic of Blaze Ceramics is infused into the corporeal, the body, the form, through symbolism, motifs, memories, dreams and lived experiences.

Tazz (they/them)
Tazz creates their works in the physical and digital space. From hand-made sculptures to 2D sketches and artworks, they love to explore and test the boundaries of what they can do.
