Marielle Neesham

Marielle from Tidal Expressions has lived experience, training and has worked extensively in the mental health and disability fields often with marginalised communities. She is passionate about connecting with a diverse range of people from all backgrounds. She strives to have compassion, understanding and inclusion  as her guiding values and to be sensitive to a trauma informed perspective. Marielle has her own ceramic practise with an emphasis on abstract sculptural works, jewellery and mixed media.

Jessie Pittard

Jessie Pittard is an Eltham based artist, printmaker and ceramicist with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from RMIT. She is an accomplished wheel thrower, hand builder and teacher. Running weekly classes and workshops for all age and abilities, from her Eltham studio, Claytalk Montsalvat and Clae Space Research. Jessie also runs ‘My Backyard Adventures’ where she creates and designs whimsical, fun and functional products for the young and young at heart. Jessie is a foundational member of our collective and has worked with Marielle and Tommy since late 2024 helping guide the collective’s development and evolution.

Lily Lindsay

Lily, an integral part of our collective, is a local ceramic artist who has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from RMIT and currently teaches kids and adult classes at ClayTalk, Montsalvat. Lily also has her own practice called Blaze Ceramics which are handmade ritual pieces, born out of exploration of the beauty in the natural world. The magic of Blaze Ceramics is infused into the corporeal, the body, the form, through symbolism, motifs, memories, dreams and lived experiences.

Alyssa Potter

Alyssa is the owner of Clae Space and a passionate ceramicist primarily focusing on hand building, carving, some wheel throwing and keeping the creative expression and flow non-judgmental. She has also spent her life creating in various forms - from crochet, macrame, painting, sewing, and baking. Alyssa is passionate about making clay accessible to everyone. She has lived experience with mental health and neurodivergency and works from a neuro-affirming perspective. Alyssa is partnering with Marielle to run the ‘All Abilities’ classes on Saturdays and is welcoming the Moons of Neptune Ceramic Collective into Clae Space at every level.
